Ari Carrillo was born in Veracruz, Mexico 1979. He studied film at the University of Utah and a Masters of Animation at Digital Media Arts College. In 2003 Ari's first animated short Adelita, won Honorable Mention at the Utah's Short Film & Video Film Festival. Then in 2005 he directed La Cecilia, a 4 minute animation which was screened in several film festivals around the world. In 2007 while Ari's most recent animation The Cock & Bull Story travels the film circuit, he works on his next animated project, a dark comedy called Heaven, due in 2009.
